FAQs Eligibility - do I have the necessary qualifications? There are no minimum admission requirements to study at Marylebone. However, each course may have an admission requirement of its own. For example you may have had to study one course before you can study another related course at a higher level. For more information, contact our Admissions Office. Course requirements - are there any other criteria I need to meet? Some programmes require you to have course-specific qualifications or experience (eg languages)
. Many programmes may also require you to use a computer and access
the internet, and all programmes provide additional resources
online. English language - do I have to sit an exam to prove my ability in English? All students must be competent in English. The University receives applications from all over the world from people with varying abilities and qualifications in English. As such, it reserves the right to ask for proof of proficiency in English when necessary. Credit - can I be given credit for work I've completed elsewhere?Yes, the University supports credit transfer, which means that you are not required to take a particular unit as part of your degree because you have already covered a similar syllabus as part of a previous qualification. It is possible to seek exemptions in many of the undergraduate degree subjects. A maximum of 60 credits may be transferred for exemption from courses in degree programs. When can I apply? You can submit an application to the University at any time of year for certificate and diploma courses. For longer courses, in order to be able to sit your first exam in the following year, your application must be received by the University before the deadline date. The deadline date for receipt of degree applications is 1 7 October in any academic year.
